YOUTH SUMMER ROWING CAMP
Rowing is an olympic, collegiate, and high school sport. Lake Phalen Rowing camps are a fun introduction for youth (entering 7-12 grade) who would like to learn a new sport and meet other youth from across the metro area on the calm waters of Lake Phalen. Camp attendees will get to meet and row alongside some of the best youth rowers in the country. This 4 day summer camp offers a total of 8 hours of instruction on land and on the water, including the basic fundamentals of the rowing stroke and how to handle the rowing equipment. After successful completion of the 4 day camp, rowers will receive a coveted Lake Phalen Rowing shirt and have the option to continue rowing on our USRowing National Championship winning team that is NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED. Must be able to swim and lift 30 lbs over head. Life jackets provided. Camp size is limited so register early.

WHERE: Lake Phalen Boat Launch on the north side of the lake(or designated partner facilities for indoor rowing if there is inclement weather).
COST: $100 (Includes Lake Phalen Rowing shirt)
WHEN: 8-10am Monday-Thursday

CAMP SESSIONS:

Camp 1: June 23-26
Camp 2: June 30-July 3
Camp 3: July 7-10
Camp 4: July 21-24
Camp 5: July 28-31
Camp 6: August 18-22

Clothing needed: Spandex type shorts (similar to biking shorts) or running tights along with a comfortable shirt. Any slim-fit outerwear that is constructed of flexible material (regular athletic shorts-just not baggy) will also work. The snugger the clothing the better.
